‘iWipe’: My Screen is Clean Again!
I was digging around under my bed today and came across the box for my Macbook Pro. It’s been a little over a year now since my dear laptop and I first met.
I remember first taking it out of the box and being amazed by its beautiful screen as it displayed the OSX desktop. It was a masterpiece. Alas, in the year following our joyous union, Macbook hadn’t taken care of itself very well. The screen had become incredibly dirty, so much so that it I kept it away from the sunlight which highlighted its imperfections.
I’d tried to clean it with a standard RCA branded micro-fibre cloth and spray, alas it had proven rather ineffective, leaving streaks across the screen. Even trying with just the cloth and water proved nearly useless. When I opened up my Macbook box today and found an Apple-branded microfibre cloth, I assumed that it would be futile to attempt to restore my Macbook back to full health; I ended up pleasantly surprised by the results.
Simply using the ‘iWipe’ with a little bit of water had miraculous results. Unlike with the RCA cloth and mixture, the screen was left clean and streak free. My dear Macbook has been near-fully restored to the state it was a year ago, (now if only I could effectively clean the aluminum body of it).
At risk of sounding like a complete ‘iFanboy’, Apple products have otherworldly properties.
