The New ‘iPod Button’ Has Been Announced!
Yesterday, Apple overlord Steve Jobs announced an updates to the iPod line, but most significantly to the iPod Nano.
The device has gone from one with a click-wheel to a small, button sized music playing device. I’m really tempted to pick 4 of these up to pin on my shirt and spell out ‘S-E-A-N’. The 1.5” screen is perfect for a high-tech name tag.
Unfortunately, starting at $159 USD for the entry-level 8GB model, they’re a little more expensive than your average button. Considering the fact that the device appears awkwardly small, and takes away features such as video playback and recording that were found in the previous model, one could consider this to be a product that won’t find a market.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jobs still has the magic ‘i-touch’.
